Apartments on Lake Forest. I arrived near sunset and the reflections were really coming up in the water. I thought this was kind of an errie shot.

I like the subtlety of tones in this black and white image; the only true blacks are in the trunk of the old oak tree. The discreet white of the barbed-wire brings the eye towards the tree and the sharp grass stops the eye from falling out of the bottom. The frosty branches appear almost like a firework.

On my way home from an appointment today, I decided to enjoy the beautiful weather and go for a walk in the forest.
So I came home with this series of winter captures.
I think the person in the picture saw me taking pictures, because he or she slowed down and eventually stopped.
